Chris is on Infinite Earths, Episode 3: Bloodlines #1 (2016)

Bloodlines #1... from 2016?  Well if that seems like rather a random book to discuss here... you're not entirely off the mark.  Without this book, however, it's quite likely that this very podcasting "channel" would never have come to be!  You might consider this issue to be the gentle flapping of a butterflies wings, which ultimately led to over a hundred episodes (and counting) of the Cosmic Treadmill.
Join Chris (@acecomics) as he shares the genesis of his comics-podcasting "career", with many thanks to his friends over at Weird Science DC Comics.

Cosmic Treadmill ep. 113 - Insane Clown Posse: Halls of Illusion #1 (2002)

What's up, ninjas! In this episode, Juggalos-in-training Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) check out the world of the Wicked Clowns when they read Insane Clown Posse: Halls of Illusion #1, published by Chaos! Comics in 2002! After some biographies for creators Jesse McCann and Gerardo Sandoval, they provide a detailed history of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope's often misunderstoof group. Then, they go through every page of the comic, with the usual throat-shredding panache. After a break, containing the song upon which the comic is based, the hatchet-swinging two close out their look at ICP, provide a brief history of clowns, and talk about other famous comic book clowns through history. Plus: a bunch of listener mail! It's better than catching a bottle of Faygo to the head, you don't want to miss it!

Young Animal "Gatherum", Episode 12 - MILK WARS!

Welcome to Milk Wars... hope you (and we) survive the experience!
A little forewarning... you're usually even-keeled hosts, Reggie (@reggiereggie) and Chris (@acecomics) did not enjoy this event... and they're going to spend the next two hours tellin' ya alllllllll about it.  Join them as the Young Animal imprint undergoes an unnecessary, unearned, and nonsensical... reboot?!  Well, in fairness, they were in existence for an entire year!  Oh yeah... Colorful language warning.

Reggie's Comics Stories ep. 2 - R.F. Outcault and the Yellow Kid

Hully gee, folks! In this episode of Comics Stories, Reggie (@reggiereggie) provides a quick overview of R.F. Outcault and his seminal creation, the Yellow Kid! He'll talk about its origins as magazine filler, up to a contentious property fought over by New York City's largest newspapers–leaving the creator entirely out of it. It's a quick listen that we're trying out, so let us know what you think!

Cosmic Treadmill ep. 112 - Twisted Tales (1987)

Ghoul gravening, scabies and mental men! In this horrific episode, our haunted house scavengers Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) sift through the strange story of Eclipse Comics and the career of Bruce Jones, when they read Twisted Tales from 1987! After some background information--including why this unnumbered issue of a Pacific Comics series came out from Eclipse after Pacific's demise--they go through all three Bruce Jones-penned stories in the book, lending their arguable talents to the proceedings. This episode is scary enough to curl your toe hairs, you don't want to miss it!

Chris is on Infinite Earths, Episode 2: Justice League #1 (1987)

Continuing the "journey" of Chris is on Infinite Earths!
Chris never really wanted to start a blog... and with this episode, he can (kinda) prove it!  Justice League #1 (1987) originally appeared on chrisisoninfiniteearths.com on New Year's Day, 2017... though, it was originally supposed to hit the internet on New Year's Day, 2015 at the Bwa-Ha-Blog!(which never really became a thing).
Ya see, it was something of a New Year's Day tradition for Chris to start (and abandon) a brand-new blog... so much for that Resolution to "write more"!  Two years (and a whole new blog) later, this discussion of Justice League #1 would finally be completed.
Hope you enjoy these brief "visits", and appreciate you joining me in these self-indulgent looks back at the Life and Times of Chris is on Infinite Earths!

Cosmic Treadmill ep. 111 - Vartox Week! The Life and Times of Vartox the Valerian

Greetings, Eternals! In this episode, Brutal Exterminators Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) examine one of the weirdest characters in DC Comics' pantheon: it's Vartox Week! A discussion of every appearance of Vartox, with special concentration on Superman #281 by Cary Bates and Curt Swan, and Power Girl vol. 2 #7 by Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray, and Amanda Conner! Without skimping on the requisite creator bios, our swoon-proof mortals detail every issue in which Vartox appears, even if only for a panel. Plus, they detail the mysterious film origins of this character–both the origins and the film being mysterious! This episode is so chock full, you'll need a Hyper-Ear to listen to it!

Young Animal "Gatherum", Episode 10

It's so hard to say goodbye... and that's exactly what we do during this episode.  Two of our Young Animal pals draw to their conclusion this time around.  Carry on, Cave... See ya, Shade.  It's not a "forever farewell", however... because there's something called "Milk Wars" on the horizon.
In addition to sayin' ciao... we actually have a full line up!  That almost never happens!

Reggie's Comics Stories ep. 1 - Mort Weisinger: The Man Who Wouldn't Be Superman (1975)

Hello, comics enthusiasts! Welcome to the debut episode of a new show hosted by Reggie (@reggiereggie), wherein he'll be telling stories about comic books–the history, the industry, and pretty much anything interesting that didn't happen within the comic book pages themselves. In this episode, he'll read an interview with Mort Weisinger from The Amazing World of DC Comics (1987), conducted by Guy H. Lillian III, titled "Mort Weisinger: The Man Who Wouldn't Be Superman." It's a rare look into the mind of this famous...some might say infamous DC Comics editor. Enjoy!

Cosmic Treadmill ep. 110 - Spider-Man and Batman: Disordered Minds (1995)

Hello, brand loyalists! In this episode, dimensional transversers Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) subvert time and space to read a once rare, now extinct crossover between Marvel and DC Comics: Spider-Man and Batman by J.M. DeMatteis and Mark Bagley from 1995! After the necessary creator bios, our duo subvert the concept of intellectual property and read all of the story "Disordered Minds," which also features villains Carnage and the Joker. Then, after an informative break, they return to the creators and talk about the other crossover titles co-published by DC and Marvel–and why we don't see them anymore! It's a crazy episode with its own internal logic and continuity...so it won't really matter to Chris and Reggie's personal story arcs if you miss it. But you still shouldn't!

Young Animal "Gatherum", Episode 9

Our Young Animal revisit has officially reached "the staples"!  That's right, we are halfway through our planned 18-episode look at the pop-up imprint that could!

This week... It's really one'a them "Good News, Bad News" situations... ya see, after a few months... we finally get that next issue of Doom Patrol.  Thing of it is... it kinda smells like filler.  It looks great though... and gives us our Allred-fix, which is a good thing, since Bug! took the month off!

In addition to that issue of Doom Patrol, we will be discussing the penultimate issues of Shade and Cave... Mother Panic shows up too!
