From Claremont to Claremont: An X-Men Podcast, Episode 1 - October, 1991

Welcome, Friends!  We are beyond x-cited to start this new adventure!  Welcome to FROM CLAREMONT TO CLAREMONT: AN X-MEN PODCAST, where I will be taking a trip back and cover the era of X-Books that made me a lifelong fan... and I've brought a great group of friends with me for the ride!  We've got Mutant Angst, deaths that won't stick, shoulder pads, weird floating babies, a constipated Dr. Strange, not one but TWO Coolometers, and a whole lot more!
For our maiden voyage, we are looking at all of the X-Men titles with an October, 1991 cover-date... also known as that month when X-Men (vol.2) launched and broke all sorts of records!  It's gonna be a great time, please consider coming along!
If you do, Welcome to From Claremont to Claremont... we hope you survive the experience... like literally, the show is many many hours long!

Chris is on Infinite Earths, Episode 4: Justice League America #52 (1991) PLUS: The History of Super-Blog Team-Up!

Yes... we're only four episodes in... it's another bwah-ha-ha book, but there's a special reason for that.  And really, that's not the meat and potatoes of this episode anyway.  This time out, Chris (@acecomics) is joined by another Chris... Chris Bailey (@Charlton_Hero) of the SuperHero Satellite who shares the origins of the Mighty Super-Blog Team-Up!

Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 61: X-Factor #71 (1991)

Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 61:
X-Factor #71 (October, 1991)
"Cutting the Mustard"
Written by Peter David with Pencils by Larry Stroman
Hello! In this episode, our blorks Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) read a title that was effectively rebooted--without being renumbered! It's Peter David's and Larry Strohman's X-Factor #71, published by Marvel Comics in 1991! There's the usual creator bios, and enough X-Men backstory to help frame the issue being read. Then, they dive into the history of the X-Men, including some of Chris' personal reminiscences collecting the X-Men series! It's like attending a day of classes at the Xavier School for Gifted Children, without paying tuition!

Thanks to Jesse DeJong for the suggestion!

The Sun-Vet Mall... where Chris paid $5 for X-Factor #1 sometime during 1992.
He might have also paid $5 for a back-issue of Wizard Magazine... ahem.
