Cosmic Treadmill ep. 142 - DC Universe Rebirth #1 (2016)

Hello, patient listeners! In this episode, newborn babes Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) look at the most recent of DC Comics' many universe reboots when they read DC Universe: Rebirth #1 from 2016! After some biographical information about writer Geoff Johns and artist Gary Frank, our inter-dimensional travelers look at what makes up a parallel universe, and then detail how DC acquired such a convoluted multiverse in the first place! After reading the issue, Reggie and Chris discuss what got them psyched about DC Universe Rebirth #1 and whether or not DC delivered on that enthusiasm. This episode is far less messy than an actual birth, you don't wanna miss it!

Greetings Fellow Butterfly-Effect Victims!

Today we're going to take a look at the first-issue of the Universe-Altering DC Comics event, Flashpoint... without too much complaining about what came afterwards!  This book hit the stands on the very day the direction of my own life was unexpectedly and profoundly altered... for the better... and you'll hear probably wayyy too much about that once you hit PLAY!  (Please hit PLAY anyway).

Cosmic Treadmill ep. 139 - Blackest Night #1 (2009)

Hello, living comics enthusiasts! In this episode, as part of this year's #JLMay event, Black Lanterns Chris (@AceComics) and Reggie (@reggiereggie) take a look at the first issue of Geoff Johns' and Ivan Reis' Blackest Night series, published in 2009 by DC Comics! After some biographical information, the heart-eating pair describe how the Green Lanterns title got to this point, then they jump right into every acrid, viscous page of the comic in question! After a break, they talk about the other shows involved in the #JLMay event, and read a little bit of listener mail! This may be the last podcast you ever listen to, you don't want to miss it!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas, Dear Listeners!

This time out, Chris (@acecomics) discusses a wonderful Christmas-themed issue featuring the Justice Society of America... and the return of one of the more unique Golden-Age characters.  After going through the issue, he tries (in vain) to qualify and affix the nebulous comic-reviewing metric known as "heart".

Chris is on Infinite Earths, Episode 6: DC Universe Rebirth #1 (2016)

This week Chris (@acecomics) is joined by guest Patrick Kotenberg (@dcufanfam) to discuss the world-changing DC Universe Rebirth #1 from 2016.  After Chris does his usual blibbuh blabbuh (emphasis on the "blabbuh" this time around) and walks through the issue, Patrick shares how he, as a new-to-DC fan received Rebirth, and how it kept him coming back to the comic shop week after week.  It's a good time as usual, doncha dare miss it!
